Wendy Perso provided us with the following info - Frederick placed Ethel, Alf and Walter together in a home 3 weeks after the death of Minnie, citing " no means" he stated on the papers that he was a native of Jamaica. He did pay some sort of maintenance. Also written on documents was children are half cast negro's. Herbert went to Boys Town run by the salvo's (not a nice home) as he was older and Harold would have worked as he was the eldest. Very sad times. Herbert was a wild lad seemed to be always in trouble he was a petty crim there for awhile.
